  1. I've changed the way I distribute EchoDor.  I've broken the single big
  2. archive into groups.  The main archive contains the executables.  It also
  3. contains two smaller archives:

  5.     CONTROL.ZIP -- this contains the various control files used by the
  6.                    EchoDor programs.  Don't unarchive this into your
  7.                    directory if your upgrading.  Unarchive this into a
  8.                    temporary directory and look at the changes in the
  9.                    EchoDor control files.  Then make the changes in your
  10.                    running version.  If your doing an initial installation
  11.                    then just unarchive this file into your install directory.

  13.     MENUS.ZIP ---- This contains the various menus, help files, and infor-
  14.                    mation files that are displayed to the user.  If your
  15.                    upgrading, don't unarchive this into your directory.
  16.                    Unarchive this into a temporary directory and look through
  17.                    the various files to see any changes.  If your doing a
  18.                    first time installation, unarchive this in your install
  19.                    directory.

  21. **** Registered users ****

  23. EchoDor now uses a EchoDor.KEY file to signial that it has been registered.
  24. If your already a registered user, come by the WorkBench BBS @ 615 256-2211.
  25. Join the EchoDor conference.  Then use the [D]oor command.  Then BBS will
  26. ask you a series of questions.  It will then generate your key file and
  27. will download it to you with the instructions.  This key file will be used
  28. for all future versions of EchoDor.

  32. It appears that a number of people that repack archives have been removing
  33. a file that I put in the archive called REGISTER.DOC -- for a quick summary
  34. of what that file says:
